BIO: Robyn Hood born Miriam A. Hyman (Philly native) is a classically trained actress and a Hip Hop Recording Artist. Currently acting on Showtime’s Hit Show “The Chi” as “Dre,” A masculine presenting lesbian that recently married her partner that has two kids. When the daughter “Keisha” goes missing in Chicago it sets the town in a frenzy and heightens the awareness of Young Black Girls being kidnapped due to human trafficking. As a MC Miriam goes by Robyn Hood where her credits includes ghostwriting for former Yale grad classmate Lupita Nyong’o and most recently released the song Melanin in which she was a writer alongside Ciara, City Girls, and The Chi cast mate LaLa Anthony. Her latest music project Is an EP entitled Truth Teller, her fourth independent project to date. She’s also a descendant of the late great singer Phyllis Hyman and actor Earl Hyman (Grandfather on Cosby show)
